My Story

Are you feeling stuck in a cycle of emotional distress? Difficulties fueling these emotions may involve relationships, work, or other areas in life important to you. You’ve tried your best to navigate in different ways, but somehow, a breakthrough seems out of reach. Let’s work together to get you unstuck.

Approaching with curiosity and a non judgemental perspective, I work with individuals, couples, and families of any background to create a “safe container,” so clients can openly share their traumas, relationship problems, personal insecurities, and other struggles. I support clients in disentangling these issues, as a clearer understanding of their problems unfolds, and light shines on self-awareness and steps ahead to reach goals. Closely collaborating with clients, I draw from different approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness and meditation practices.

The scope of my background as a spouse, parent of 3 Gen Z children, a foreigner who lived and worked in Japan, and a volunteer in nonprofits for youth and marginalized populations enrich my approach to therapy. Having also completed state-certified training as a Sexual Assault Counselor in 2022, I volunteered for two years to provide support for survivors of sexual assault and rape, on a crisis hotline and in person.

Amazing growth and strength are gained from life’s hardships – You deserve to live your best life! I’d love to meet you for a free consultation.
