C.E.O.
Clinical Supervisor

Hi, I’m Mira—and I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way here, chances are something in your life feels heavy right now.

Whether it’s grief, anxiety, trauma, or just that quiet feeling of “this is harder than I thought it would be,” you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT).

I specialize in grief (including complicated grief), trauma, anxiety, and caregiver fatigue, and I bring a warm, nonjudgmental approach to our work together.

Therapy with me doesn’t mean sitting in silence while I nod mysteriously

(unless you want that—but most people don’t ).

It means having a real human sitting with you, someone who listens deeply, gently guides, and helps you make sense of what you’re going through in a way that actually feels meaningful.

My work is rooted in humanistic, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care practices.

In simple terms, we’ll explore your story, honor what you’ve been through,

and begin to shape a path forward that feels authentic to you.

As someone who is half Mexican-American and half Asian-Indian, I deeply respect how culture, spirituality, and family shape the way we grieve and heal.

Whether your healing includes rituals, faith, storytelling, or simply being heard, I will meet you there.

Before private practice, I worked as a bereavement counselor, sitting at bedsides, supporting families, and witnessing some of life’s most tender moments. That experience continues to guide my work with compassion, presence, and a lot of heart.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University (with a minor in World Religion), graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide, and completed my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT), focusing on grief, narrative healing, and ritual-based practices.

Outside of therapy, I love old movies and gardening… although my plants and I are still negotiating our relationship.

If you’re ready (or even just thinking about being ready), I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
